Please be sure you keep your certificate current and know what it takes for a valid Washington State Certificate. The Human Resources Office will remind you annually if your certificate is about to expire but it is the certificate holder's responsibility to keep the certificate current.
Starting September 2024, per WA State Office of Superintendent of Public Instruction, educators must apply to renew their certificates by January 1 of each year if their certificates are set to expire on June 30 of that school year.
