Student reps recieving award at board meeting

At the October 1st School Board meeting, PT Schools recognized two of its own student leaders: Frances Lynch, a senior at Port Townsend High School, and Scott Hill, a junior at OCEAN K-12 School. Both were honored for living the PT Schools value of accountability.

Frances and Scott were appointed as Student Representatives to the PT Schools Board of Directors at the September 3rd board meeting. In that role, they bring the student perspective to board discussions and help make sure the voices of the students the district serves are part of the decisions being made.

It is fitting that two students who stepped up to serve their school community are also being celebrated for holding themselves accountable. Accountability means following through, owning your choices, and showing up for others, and Frances and Scott are doing exactly that.

Congratulations, Frances and Scott. We are proud of you and grateful for your service to our district!
