Welcome to the Board, Shelly Huber!

Port Townsend Schools is excited to welcome Shelly Huber as the newest member of our Board of Directors. Shelly was appointed to the at-large seat in August 2026 and took the Oath of Office at the Board's retreat on August 20, 2026. She will serve until the November 2027 election.

Shelly is no stranger to our district. For the past two years she has served on the Facilities Advisory Committee, helping shape the project scope for the high school renovation bond — and it was through that work, and the students she met along the way, that her passion for board service grew.

A licensed architect with extensive experience in construction administration and publicly funded projects, Shelly brings a perspective that will be especially valuable as our bond construction projects move forward. She is also a Salish Coast Elementary parent, an artist at Hand Work Studio, and a member of the Port Townsend Ballet Parent Committee.

"I've been inspired by the many high school students I met through my work on the Facilities Committee," Shelly shared. "I'm looking forward to listening to the community and keeping students' needs at the center of every decision."

We are so glad to have her at the table. Welcome, Shelly! 🎉
