Historic photo of the LIncoln Building

As our district prepares to embark on an exciting phase of campus modernization, we are taking a moment to celebrate the rich history and legacy of the spaces that have shaped our community.

In conjunction with Alumni Weekend, students, staff, and graduates are invited to attend the PTHS Campus Memorial Event on Sunday, June 14, 2026, from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM at Port Townsend High School. This gathering offers a final opportunity for the community to walk the grounds and share stories before our historic buildings are torn down or undergo major changes.

The event will kick off in the school auditorium, offering a unique opportunity for returning alumni and residents to journey through our shared history. We will open with a short retrospective presentation on the campus's heritage before introducing a representative from the historical society, who has been leading efforts to preserve our collective memories. They will present a compiled collection of local oral histories and debut a video walkthrough of the historic Lincoln Building.

What to Expect at the Event:

  • Tribute to Historic Sites: Share your memories of both the Lincoln and Marvista Buildings.

  • Walk the Halls: Take one last stroll through the Main Building before it closes for extensive renovations this summer.

  • Class Photos & History: Revisit your school days with historic class photos available for viewing on the third floor of the Main Building.

  • Yearbooks for Sale: Take home a piece of history! A limited number of yearbooks from select years will be available for purchase.

Capture the Moment

To conclude this historic day, all attendees are asked to gather near the Annex at 1:00 PM to take a farewell group photo in front of the Lincoln Building.

We hope you will join us for this afternoon of remembrance, celebration, and community spirit as we look forward to the next chapter of our district’s future.
