In the 22-23 school year, the Port Townsend School District explored how to allocate 180 instructional days in the school year. A calendar workgroup was established to share research and gather feedback from the staff, community and students. In April, the calendar workgroup and union leaders presented a recommendation to the school board.

Our district collaborated with the Chimacum School District to consider alignment between our two calendars. The work was funded by Washington’s Office of the Superintendent of Public Instruction (OSPI).
