Learn how high school juniors and seniors can earn college credit tuition free.

What is Running Start?
It is an opportunity to receive dual credits to fulfill both high school and college credits. This means that each 10 week class at Peninsula College can cover 1.0 credits per subject or electives. At the end of high school, you can also graduate with an Associate Degree from Peninsula College.

When can I apply?
The enrollment process takes place the quarter before you plan to start classes. You must have all your paperwork in before enrolling in classes. Registration for fall quarter starts on May 27, 2021.

What do I need to do to apply?
Fill out an application form online at
-Meet the math and English requirements through 3 semesters of B or better in each subject
-3 semesters in ELA and Math with a B or better.
-Use SBAC scores: ELA - 3 or 4 level score, Math - 3 or 4 level score plus required math grade.

If you do not qualify in one subject, you can still take classes for what you qualify for.
Example: Take ELA and Social Sciences, but not Math/Science

Fill out an Running Start Enrollment Verification Form
-Fill out your part then take paper to your counselor to fill out the rest. The counselor will forward the RSEVF to Peninsula College
Meet with an advisor from Peninsula College and Plan your classes.

22-23 WST Enrollment

Enrollment for New 22-23 WST students begins March 7, 2022 at 8:00 am

Current Students that plan to return to WST for the 21-22 school year, may enroll online beginning January 31, 2022. Priority registration for returning students ends on March 1, 2022.
