In anticipation of approval from the ACIP and Western States Scientific Safety Review Workgroup, Jefferson Healthcare has opened appointment scheduling for Jefferson County residents 12 years and older to receive the Pfizer COVID-19 vaccine.  Currently, Saturday, May 15th and Wednesday, May 19th are available for scheduling for anyone 12 and older, with 2nd dose appointments automatically scheduled 21 days later.

Children 12-17 years old are required to be accompanied by their legal guardian or have the original Patient Acknowledgement form signed by a legal guardian.  No photographs, copies or over the phone verbal consent can be accepted.  Jefferson Healthcare appointments can be scheduled directly through the website appointment link beginning Tuesday afternoon.  All vaccinations are done at the Drive Thru Immunization Clinic in Port Townsend.

If approval for children 12-15 years old is not authorized before Saturday, May 15th appointments for that date will be cancelled.

Receiving the second dose of vaccine is important.  Individuals who need to a schedule second dose appointment or would like to be added to a last-minute standby list to minimize vaccine wastage can use the link on the COVID-19 Vaccine page.  https://jeffersonhealthcare.org/covid-19-vaccine/ Appointment dates are limited but every effort will be made to help schedule second dose appointments.

Port Townsend School District encourages families to discuss decisions about vaccination with your medical provider. The District is providing this information to help ensure that all students, staff, and families have access to the COVID-19 vaccine.
