 The Blue Heron office closes for the summer on Thursday, June 26 @ 3:00 PM. 
                  The office reopens on Wednesday, August 20, 2014 @ 8:00 AM.
New student registration packets are available at the District Office during summer months.

  • Our school was built in 1994 and dedicated on October 5, 1995.
  • Excellent subject level teaching teams, combined with quality paraprofessionals, nutrition, custodial/maintenance, and transportation teams work together to provide a rigorous, integrated curriculum for students.
  • Teachers create lessons clearly tied to Washington State Standards.
  • We combine in-class instruction with experiential education activities.
  • Our school typically hosts over 1000 school-community events each year.
  • We have 23.9 certified teaching staff and an enrollment of 416 students in grades 4-8. In addition, we have 38.25 hours of para-professional support for Special Education, 12 hours of Title 1 para-professional support, and 18.25 hours of Basic Education Assistance (BEA) of para-professional support.
  • Two (2) staff members are National Board Certified. Our staff has an average of 12 years of experience.
  • Consistently, 160+ parents volunteer their time in our school and 21+ business invest in partnerships with our school.
