The Port Townsend K-12 OCEAN (Opportunity, Community, Experience, Academics, Navigation) is an independent study, contract-based program for students in grade K-12 supported with classroom, experiential and expeditionary experiences, and connections with the community. We strive to meet students' academic needs through their interests, passions and families. Our program helps students meet the requirements of Washington State's academic expectations and Port Townsend High School graduation requirements, while following the state's public school Alternative Learning Experience WACs (rules). OCEAN Program Application (click to download) Applications are being accepted for the 2013-2014 school year. Please indicate your child's current grade level on the application. Students are accepted based upon grade level openings, previous/family enrollment, referral, and appropriate placement.
